HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Camera Queen Photography is made up of an elite team, Allison Pent - Professional Photographer, Gregory Russell - Hair Stylist, and Mara Roszak - Nail Stylist. All of whom are dedicated to providing the best images, hair styles, and nails designs. My business operation was to make a difference while having this photography business. It’s to have fun and feel beautiful, or in a guy version, to feel handsome.
COST
The building we have may not look big, but it’s just perfect for OUR business. We only had to pay up to one thousand forty four dollars – ninety four cents monthly. That’s a pretty good deal. After we decided on the building we got, we started looking for the right supplies like, photography equipment, hair supplies, nail items, makeup, and building supplies. For all the right supplies for my business, it costed up to fourteen hundred, fifty dollars and eleven cents. The overall cost was twenty four hundred, ninety five dollars and five cents. To be able to pay for everything, I decided to get a loan.
LOAN
Loans are difficult, but they are especially hard to find. There are good loans, but there are also ones that can screw your whole bank account and business up. After a long time of searching, I decided to look at three loans, Upstart, Bank-Rates, and Kabbage. Upstart is a three year loan, that has a 14% interest loan, and I’d have to pay up to sixty eight dollars monthly. Bank-Rates is a one year loan, that has a 5% interest rate, and I’d have to pay up to one hundred seventy two dollars monthly. Kabbage is a one year loan, with an interest rate of 2%, and I’d have to pay up to one hundred sixty seven dollars. After my crew and I looked things through, we decided on Kabbage. Even though it’s a year loan, I believe we’d be able to pay the loan off in no time!
CUSTOMER COST
If we charge customers at least one to two hundred dollars a photo session, make-up for five twenty five, hair for fifteen dollars, and nails for twenty five to thirty dollars, I believe we would be able to pay the loan off close to a month or two. My amazing employees will start off small until our business starts to grow. They will be making about eight dollars an hour to start out then up to ten dollars.
MARKETING/ITS COST
To make my business get bigger and more popular, I decided to find some really good marketing strategies. This website is one of them which I’m so thankful it’s free, business cards which is eight fifty for five hundred cards, a news article which is thirty two dollars, sending emails which will cost up to eighteen – ninety five, contest, and coupons which is free or it depends. The estimated monthly ROI is .04%, but yearly is .45%. I hope after doing all of these really cool marketing strategies, my business will grow and I’d be making a lot more money than I would have thought.
NEW WORKERS NEEDED
When and while my business grows, I would need to have more employees, such as a secretary, a person that cleans up messes, and a person to set up things for photo sessions. Apply Now!
Bids/Contracts
I have decide between two proposals. The first proposals scope of work is I will be taking photographs for my clients, such as for prom, engagements, weddings, senior pictures, etc.
I will be doing haircuts and styles before their photo session starts or change it up in-between photos. I will be doing my clients makeup if they don’t have time to do so or they’re scared to mess up and look bad. I will cover up any pimple or scar that they feel uncomfortable with having, with foundation and powder. Then it will be easier to get rid of with Photoshop or any other editing software I may be using. The total price of my first scenario will cost up to $469.84 a month. Customers should expect being treated with respect and be allowed to tell my employees and I their ideas. Customers should expect excellent pictures being shot and edited for the price they will be paying. Customers should expect their hair, nails, and makeup being done well. Customers should feel comfortable with my employees and I. The second proposal scope of work is the same as the first proposal except, I’ll only do certain photoshoots for my business. The total price of my second contract will cost up to $333.16 a month. Customers should expect good treatment and behavior by our employees. Customers should expect good pictures being done by the amount of money they would be paying. Customers should expect their hair, nails, and makeup being done well and excellent for the price they will pay for getting all dolled up.
Customers should feel comfortable with my employees and I.
Payroll/Taxes
My business will have to pay taxes, federal, state, local, and social security. The tax percentage for Federal is 10%, State is 4%, Local is .1351%, and Social Security is 6.2%. The benefits I’ll be providing for my business is, paid vacation days, paid holidays off, 50% off their photo session/bundle package, and the cost of the vacation and holiday pay will be between $195-$390. I will be paying my employees bi-weekly. I will be paying my employees $10 an hour. I will be getting about $15 an hour. Our business will have to summit taxes every four months. The overall cost for Allison Pent is $35,257.09, for Gregory Russell it is $23,538.06, and for Mara Roszak it is $23,538.06. The overall cost will be $82,333.21.
Balance Sheet
My assets for my business are my equipment and money related things, such as, photography equipment, nail kit(s), makeup, and hair equipment. A liability is an obligation and it is reported on a company's balance sheet. An example of a liability is accounts payable. Accounts payable is when my company purchases goods or services on credit from a supplier. I will have to pay taxes and the income. The supplier that gives me more supplies when I run out with what I need, will need to get paid. I will need to pay my employee’s biweekly. Value to my business is that I need to be a problem solver, I need ambition, I need to be accountable if a mistake has happened, and I need to be focused. These values are what customers would like to see in the people of the business. The customer wants to know, if ever a problem, we’d be able to solve it. The customer wants the employee’s to want to do what they do, not look like they hate their job. The customer would want us to understand what they want. The customer, if a mistake has happened, would want to see us being responsible. The customer would like to see us focused and ready to work. My business is going to become very profitable because my business provides more than most businesses. Most photography businesses only take pictures at a photo shoot, but I do more than that. I’ll get your makeup, hair, and nails done before your photo shoot begins!
